ePost Global (“ePost”), the international mail and parcel shipping solutions provider, has accepted deliver from ID Parcel & Mail Solutions of a second new packet parcel sorting system (PPSS). The system was installed at their new facility in South Hackensack, NJ. The first was at their facility in Rancho Dominguez, CA.

This project is employing a phased approach. In phase one, ePost was looking for the immediate ability to take advantage of the speed and efficiency of automated packet and parcel scanning, weighing, dimensioning, and labeling. Phase two of the system will be installed in late May and will add sorting capabilities. The final system will feature 24 sorting outputs and can process mixed streams of small packets and parcels specifically designed to support cross-border distribution.

ID Parcel & Mail Solutions worked to provide as little disruption to ePost’s working environment as possible and to minimize impact to their processing operations. This was accomplished, in part, by scheduling a large amount of the installation over the weekend in a live processing operation.
With the continued volume growth driven by ecommerce trends, this machine provides ePost the necessary support to increase capacity and address rising labor costs. In addition, the Parcel Automation System’s software integration provides valuable data and insights to improve tracking visibility, route optimization and customer service.

ID Parcel & Mail Systems appreciates the partnership that ePost has entered with us and looks forward to expanding that relationship with future systems. The next install is at ePost’s Chicago operation.
